Man hospitalised following North Clare fall

FOLLOWING a fall in North Clare on Wednesday afternoon, a hiker is receiving treatment at University Hospital Galway.

The man was removed to hospital by Rescue 115 after a search led by the Galway Mountain Rescue unit. The fall is believed to have happened before 1pm on a slope close to Belbarbour.
