Lissycasey footballers secure semi-final spot

Lissycasey     0-13
Cratloe            0-6

Lissycasey secured a place in the semi-final of the Garry cup with this win over Cratloe in on Tuesday evening.

It was a merited win for the Lissycasey outfit but they will be concerned with the amount of chances that were missed.

Against an under-strength Cratloe side, the winners dominated and should have been much further ahead than 0-7 to 0-1 at half time.

Cratloe had the opening three points of the second half but then Lissycasey put some impressive moves together that saw them kick four unanswered points and pull clear of the home side.

Midfielder Matt O’Shea dominated and kicked four points. Others to impress for the winners were Michael Melican and Matt Kilroy.

Cratloe’s best were Barry Duggan who stood out at full-back, Pierce DeLoughrey, Michael Hawes and substitute Shane Gleeson.
