Light up a Memory Tree in Milford

Each Christmas the Light up a Memory tree becomes a beacon of remembrance and reflection that lights up the grounds of Milford Care Centre in Limerick and this year is no different, with a ceremony taking place on Sunday at 6pm.
“This traditional family event always offers a memorable start to the season. Light up a Memory is a focus for remembrance and reflection and we welcome the attendance of many persons who come together to remember loved ones and to relive the many happy memories of their lives,” Pat Gilmartin of Milford Hospice Friends said.
Light up a Memory offers the public an opportunity to dedicate a light on Milford’s tree, remembering both living and deceased relatives and friends. Each light that shines is in honour of someone special who is in our thoughts.
“We are extremely grateful for the continuous support we receive, which is of huge assistance to us in people’s ongoing efforts for Milford Hospice to be able to deliver quality, patient-centred services throughout the Mid-West. Our commitment remains in what are very challenging times to do all we can to continue the essential work we do on a day-to-day basis but more and more, the generous support we receive from the general public will be needed in order for us to achieve this goal,” Pat Quinlan, chief executive, Milford Care Centre, stated.
