Darren O’Neill opened the scoring when he punished some slack defending after Ennis Town had failed to capitalise on a couple of good chances.
When the half time whistle sounded the sides were level after Stephen Hickey had scored for Ennis Town after good work by Daryl Eade.
The home side were reduced to ten men when Michael Dinan was shown red and things got worse for them a few minutes later when O’Neill hit his second after good work by Ruairi Norrby.
The losers finished with nine after Adrian Walsh was dismissed.
Lifford sealed victory when Lunga Ballman scored after a Norrby cross shortly before the full time whistle.

Tulla United A were deserving winers of this premier league tie at the Fairgreen on Sunday.
The home side got off to a good start with a goal from Ritchie O’Grady but when the half time whistle sounded, Tulla were 3-1 in front after goals from Niall Whelan from the penalty spot, John Brigdale and Tommy McKeown, whose shot took a deflection on the way to the net.
The ’Tage stepped up a gear in the second half and were right back in the game when Johnnie Ferns scored but Tulla had the final say and Tommy McKeown hit his second to seal their win.

Burren United will play in the first division next year after their latest defeat sealed their fate. Mountshannon Celtic were comfortable winners in Lisdoonvarna and are now second on the league table.
The visitors took the lead through John Scanlan but Burren fought back and levelled through Dale Masterson, leaving the half time score at 1-1.
