Late January gigs for D’Unbelievables

Car Tourismo Banner

POPULAR comic duo D’Unbelievables, Pat Shortt and Jon Kenny, are reuniting for a one-off nationwide tour after Christmas and will perform in Glór on January 28 and 29.
D’Unbelievables enjoyed almost cult status in their heyday with their live shows travelling around Ireland entertaining many with the hilarious side of Irish rural society. Originally formed in the late ’80s in Limerick, Jon and Pat created their on-stage characters in D’Unbelievables to wickedly echo those to be seen on every street corner and in every pub in Ireland. After touring extensively all over Ireland for almost a decade, both men went their separate ways in 2000, exploring independent careers in TV, movies and music. Up until now, a comeback was usually given a “never say never” response when either Pat or Jon were asked but they both now feel the time is right.
“We have met up regularly over the past few years and have often thought seriously about bringing all these wild characters back to life,” Jon said. “We both felt that now was the time and we can’t wait. It’s going to be great – hard work but great,” Pat added. “The show is a high-energy act and we’re both getting on so if we were ever going to do it, we had to do it now. We are both very excited about it and we are having great craic rehearsing together again”
Tickets for D’Unbelievables’ One Hell of a Do at Glór are available from 065 6843103 or www.glor.ie.
