Inagh-Kilnamona to represent Clare


Inagh-Kilnamona 4-7   Feakle 1-3
Inagh-Kilnamona will represent Clare in Dublin at the 2012 Féile na nGael in July following their win over Feakle on Sunday evening at Shannon camogie grounds.
Both sides had to contend with a strong wind, with Inagh-Kilnamona having the benefit in the opening half.
Feakle, having conceded an early goal, worked hard to contain Inagh-Kilnamona.
Inagh Kilnamona picked off some great scores, leaving them 1-7 to 0-0 ahead at half-time.
Feakle goaled four minutes into the second half, which breathed new life into the East Clare outfit.
However, this goal was cancelled out by a Chloe O’Neill free, which sailed into the top corner. Feakle added two more points but it was Inagh-Kilnamona who grabbed the goals, leaving Feakle with the last score of the game, a converted free and Inagh-Kilnamona en route to the Féile finals in July.

Inagh-Kilnamona 1-4   Sixmilebridge 1-2
Sixmilebridge suffered a two-point defeat against Inagh/Kilnamona on Sunday in Clarecastle.
The sides were level at half-time and with 10 minutes to go, Inagh-Kilnamona were two points ahead.
The ’Bridge missed a goal chance in the last few minutes of the match.

Feakle 4-3   Clarecastle 2-1
A galeforce wind was always going to prove a challenge in this Féile Na nGael semi-final.
Feakle won the toss and with the aid of the breeze quickly launched an attack on the Clarecastle goal. An early goal from the stick of Evelyn Duggan put Feakle into the lead, which they maintained to the final whistle.
Further goals from Regan Conway helped the winners to a 3-2 to 0-1 half-time lead.
Clarecastle, now playing with the strong wind, fought hard through the second half but failed to breach a strong Feakle defence.
