RHINE Rovers, Corofin Harps and Bunratty-Cratloe A are battling it out for the First Division title and when the destination of the crown is finally decided, it could be that the results from last Sunday will prove crucial.
Rhine Rovers kept up their strong challenge with a 3-0 win over Bunratty-Cratloe A, while Corofin Harps were held to a draw by Bridge United A.
There is still a way to go but Rhine Rovers have edged into a strong position after their latest win.
RHINE Rovers turned in a strong performance when accounting for Bunratty-Cratloe A at Woulfe Park and the result has strengthened their chances of winning the title.
The O’Brien brothers, Johnnie and David, scored the winners’ goals with both of Johnnie’s goals coming from the penalty spot. They led 1-0 at the break and doubled their advantage early in the second half, before Davy’s effort sealed victory.

WITH home advantage, Corofin Harps were fancied to win this one but the visitors let it be known early that they would not be easily beaten. They took the lead in the first five minutes through Gavin Downes but Corofin were back on terms by half-time, thanks to a Brian Halpin strike.
Early in the second half, the Bridge regained the lead through Darren Murphy but again Corofin fought back and Fergie Neylon levelled to secure a share of the spoils.

AFTER a scoreless first half at Lees Road, Turnpike Roves took the lead early in the second half when Jason Hayes scored. Ten minutes later, he struck again to put his team two clear.
Twelve minutes from the end, Wesley Fleming pulled one back for the visitors but despite piling on the pressure, they were unable to get in for an equaliser.
