Sixty boys and girls from Parteen and surrounding areas attended a three-day camogie and hurling camp this week.

The camp was promoted by Clare Camogie Board in conjunction with the Parteen club. Coaches for the three-day event were Cratloe and Clare hurlers, Sean and Paudge Collins, together with camogie players Naomi Carroll, Róisín McMahon and Ciara Whelan.

Naomi and Róisín were members of the Clare senior team that won the Munster senior title this year.
Naomi is an Irish hockey player and earlier this year she helped Ireland win the European U-21 Cup. Last Sunday, she earned her first senior hockey cap for Ireland.

She is also a noted Gaelic footballer and helped Clare to reach the All-Ireland senior quarter-final a few weeks ago.

Before the Parteen camp concluded on Wednesday, Naomi and Paudge put the Munster Senior Camogie and U-21 Hurling Cups on display.
