High standard to go forward to national finals

SIXMILEBRIDGE was the venue last weekend for Clare Community Games project competitions for U-11 and U-13 competitors.

The competitions took place at the national school and the co-ordinator was Mary McNamara with Siobhán O’Sullivan, Frank Monaghan, Danielle O’Brien and Declan Haren as judges.
The standard was high and the winners in each section will qualify for the national finals on the weekend of May 25 to 27.

U-11

Cross country
THE U-13 cross country races for boys and girls will take place this Saturday at Lees Road at 11am.
The U-10 cross country relays for boys and girls will also take place at the same venue on Saturday.

Basketball
THE girls’ U-13 basketball competition will take place in Ennistymon on Sunday.
