Great Scott – it’s Pamela

IT’S a case of key of the door for Irish-owned fashion group, Pamela Scott as 50 O’Connell Street, Ennis becomes their 21st retail outlet in Ireland. The opening on this Thursday – quite deliberately October 21 – is being welcomed by women of all ages as an important addition to the range of fashion stores in the county town.
Another important dimension to the arrival of Pamela Scott is that the store will create around 10 new jobs.
Located in the centre of Ennis, the bright and airy refurbished store will offer popular casual and smart-casual brands such as Gerry Webber, Biba, Bianca, Olsen, Not Your Daughters Jeans and Ruby Rox.  This will be alongside a wide variety of very reasonably priced cocktail and evening wear and a full range of fashionable accessories.
Shoppers in Ennis can also look forward to seeing for the first time the fabulous new autumn winter collections by best-selling brands Twist, Sophie B and Zapara – brands that are exclusive to Pamela Scott.
Renowned stylist and TV presenter Lisa Fitzpatrick, from Ireland am and Xposé, was instore on Thursday to provide shoppers with style advice.  Fashionistas who are not sure what to wear or what suits them were able to get the expert opinion they need to select their perfect autumn / winter wardrobe free of charge.
Pamela Scott is an Irish family owned business that opened its first store 34 years ago on Grafton Street in Dublin.  The company has gone from strength to strength ever since and celebrates the opening of its 21st store in Ennis with the same passion and enthusiasm it deployed from day one – for providing Irish women with high quality fashion labels for all occasions.  Still owned and run by founder, Sean Barron; his four sons, John, Richard, Robert and Scott have joined him at the helm over the years.
“The new store in Ennis is something that we all are very proud of,” said Robert Barron. “Pamela Scott began by offering Irish women access to high-fashion looks at great prices. Thirty-four years on and we are still serving customers who have been with us from the beginning while attracting a whole new customer with a range of new contemporary brands. We dress at least three generations of women and look forward to making that the case in County Clare.”
