Game up for Clondegad minors?

The minor A football final between Ennistymon and Doora-Barefield has been fixed for Saturday week and all the indications are that the fixture will go ahead as scheduled on that date.
Clondegad are still making efforts to get a re-fixture of their semi-final with Ennistymon but up to the time of writing their efforts had not been successful.
“We are still trying to get it fixed and we are not getting anywhere,” said Clondegad manager Martin Power, who added that his team had offered to go to Ennistymon to play the game on this Saturday. “We have offered every alternative possible,” Power said.
Meanwhile, Ennistymon minor club secretary Gerry Murphy said that he wasn’t aware “of any change and we are preparing for the final”.
The semi-final between Clondegad and Ennistymon was scheduled for last Sunday week in Quilty but Clondegad failed to fulfill the fixture. Ennistymon were present and lined out and referee Gerry Corry threw the ball in. Corry’s report was adopted at a meeting of Bord na nÓg last week.
Clondegad had sought a postponement of the fixture, arguing that they were not in a position to play the final on the same weekend, as they were involved in the intermediate final.
Their manager, Martin Power, stated last week that there were seven players involved in both panels.
Tony Kelly was the only minor named in the starting line-up of their intermediate side for their final against St Breckan’s. Eoin Donlon was introduced for the final quarter of that game, which St Breckan’s won by four points.
Officials of Bord na nÓg Peil met with representatives of Clondegad on Tuesday night of this week but that meeting failed to find a solution.
At the time of writing, it is understood that Clondegad were considering lodging an appeal but it appears unlikely that there will be any change to the current position, where Doora-Barefield and Ennistymon will play in the final next week.
