HAVING spent the first half of the year back in the studio, their debut album, Independence is set to hit the shops next month and with this Frantic Jack are bringing their nationwide tour to Brandon’s Bar, Ennis, on August 14. Both their album and third single Hold On on July 23 will be released the same day and with the success of their first two singles the band is hoping to scale the charts yet again.
In the short space that this indie-rock band has been on the scene and since Frantic Jack brought their first EP release to the public eye last September, they have seen their first two single’s chart considerably well with Firefly reaching number 23 in October and Free raising the bar yet again to number in December in the official Irish charts.
Consisting of five established musicians who all have a background in music, Darragh on vocals and guitar; James on keys and percussion and Pauric on bass all have qualifications in sound engineering, while Mark on guitar studies music in Athlone and Mick on drums attends the Ballyfermot School of Music.
Based in Edenderry, this has given Frantic Jack the means of been centrally located and ease of access to many music venues in the Midlands and Dublin which has helped the band grow considerably over the past number of months.
Having completed their debut album Independence, this is what has encouraged Frantic Jack to organise their first nationwide tour which will give the band more exposure. Along with the tour dates, also included will be many instore performances around the country as well as national and local radio appearances.
