The race for the Division 4, 5, 6 and 7 Football League titles got underway last weekend when 13 games were played.
Killimer returned to adult competition after a four-year absence and they made a winning start to their Division 7 campaign, accounting for Cooraclare.
Ennistymon football has three adult teams competing this year. Both junior teams won their games at the weekend.
The only draw at the weekend was in Division 4 where Lissycasey and Doonbeg shared the spoils. Round two takes place this weekend.

O’Gorman champs win again
Round two in the O’Gorman Cup was played at the weekend when holders Kilmurry-Ibrickane recorded their second win of the campaign. They had five points to spare over Shannon Gaels when winning 1-14 to 1-9.
Miltown St Joseph’s also scored their second win of the campaign when they had a 3-11 to 0-2 victory over Coolmeen.
O’Curry’s travelled to Kilrush last Thursday and recorded a one point win over Kilrush, 1-8 to 2-4.
The remaining round two game, involving Lissycasey against Cooraclare, will be played on this Friday evening.
