St Flannan’s College Ennis will face St Brendan’s, Killarney in the quarter-final of the Munster Colleges Senior A Football Championship (Corn Uí Mhuiri).
The quarter-finals are scheduled for Wednesday, January 23 and it is expected the St Flannan’s game will be played at Rathkeale. The winners will play Coláiste Chriost Rí or West Limerick Colleges in the semi-final.
Two Clare schools remain in the race for the senior B (Corn Phadraig) hurling title. Dungarvan will play Rice College while St Joseph’s, Tulla will take on Borrisilleigh. The remaining B quarter-finals, including Tulla’s game, will take place on January 16.
In the senior C hurling semi-final, Scariff Community College will take on Carrig na bFearr and it is expected this game will be played before the end of January.
While no Clare school managed to make it through to the quarter-finals of the Dr Harty Cup (senior A hurling), Ard Scoil Rís, Limerick are qualified and they will have some Clare players in their panel. They will play Doon CBS, who knocked out St Flannan’s, on January 16. Dungarvan Colleges will play Blackwater Community School, Thurles CBS take on Castletroy and Templemore will face Midleton.
