Broadford  1-2
An outstanding first-half display earned Éire Óg a spot in the minor C camogie final when they accounted for Broadford. Torrential rain fell throughout the match, making play difficult for both sides but the Ennis girls took full advantage of the breeze and scores from Orla Devitt, Lisa Greene and Shaunagh O’Brien gave them a 3-6 to no score lead at half-time.
A determined Broadford side put up a great fight in the second half and outscored Éire Óg by 1-3 to 1-1 but they had left themselves a mountain to climb and Éire Óg ran out victorious.

Whitegate snatch draw

Ruan  3-9
Whitegate  3-9

Ruan and Whitegate have to do it all again after their minor C semi final in Killanena ended in a draw on Sunday morning. Played in wintry conditions, the wind played a big factor, with Ruan having the benefit of a strong breeze in the first half. Ruan started the stronger and with points from Rebecca Crowe (3) and Alice Casey (1) had a four-point advantage with 10 minutes played. Whitegate responded with three points from Susan Fahy and Shauna Donnellan before Casey pointed, having received a well-taken puck-out from Ruan goalie Niamh Lyons.
Ruan extended their lead when Amy O’Brien sent a short ground pass to Aideen Fitzgerald, who goaled. O’Brien raised a green flag in the 29th minute, leaving the last score of the half to Whitegate’s Susan Fahy, who converted a 45 to leave Ruan in front 2-7 to 0-4.
Fahy and Donnellan worked well together for Whitegate from the restart, contributing 1-3 to reduce the deficit to three points by the 38th minute. Crowe sent over a point for Ruan before Sinéad Collins played a long shot to Casey, who collected and despite being surrounded by a solid Whitegate defence, hand-passed to Fitzgerald, who struck for the net. Fahy, who was a powerhouse for Whitegate, added 1-2 to level matters with eight minutes remaining. Claire McDonnell pointed for Ruan in the 58th minute to put daylight between the sides. With the game into injury time, Fahy pointed a free in the 62nd minute to again level matters before referee Ger Hoey blew the final whistle, leaving both sides having to do battle again to see who will face Éire Óg in the final.
