Fergus Rovers faced Coolmeen in round two of the Division 2 of the ladies’ football league last Friday evening. The game was 13-a-side, as the Coolmeen are struggling with numbers this season and were unable to field a full team.
Fergus Rovers were first on the scoreboard, scoring 1-4 in the first 10 minutes. Coolmeen replied by scoring 1-2. Fergus Rovers piled on the pressure and notched up 1-1, to leave the score at half-time Fergus Rovers 2-5, Coolmeen 1-4.
Fergus Rovers started the second half brightly with four unanswered points. Coolmeen then replied with an excellent goal and point.
