Fashionistas in seventh heaven with Inspire

MUNSTER’S biggest fashion event returns more stylish than ever before to the Crescent Shopping Centre, Dooradoyle from September 19 to 23.
The five-day extravaganza, Inspire 2012, will include a host of style events, fashion shows and a wedding fair, all under one roof at the region’s shopping mecca.
The feast of fashion will kick off with an event true to its ‘inspirational’ tag. On Wednesday, at 10.30am, there will be a coffee morning in aid of Console, a charity that supports people in suicidal crisis and those bereaved by suicide.
On Thursday, there will be a hair and beauty demonstration from 2.30 to 5.30pm, followed by an exclusive style masterclass, hosted by model agent Celia Holman-Lee at 7pm.
Then on Friday, September 21 and Saturday, September 22, there will a selection of fashion shows. Friday’s displays will be from 12.30 to 3pm and 6pm to 8.30pm and on Saturday from 12.30 to 2.30pm and 3.30pm to 5pm. Limerick Person of the Year, Richard Lynch will host the fashion shows, which will take place in the central concourse.
Sunday, September 23 will cover all the essential style details of a bride’s big day. After its successful debut last year, the Wedding Fair returns, kicking off at midday and will be followed by a Wedding Fashion Show at 3pm.
Speaking at the launch of Inspire 2012, fashion event co-ordinator, Celia Holman-Lee, expressed her excitement at the upcoming celebration of chic.
“I love being involved with Inspire and I’m delighted that the Crescent Shopping Centre is the ‘catwalk’ again this year. Inspire is definitely immune to the seven-year itch! The previous six annual events have been massively successful and 2012 will be better than ever. The mix of practical style advice and showing off the latest looks is what makes it so popular.”
Celia said Inspire is an essential fixture on Munster’s fashion calendar for fashionistas, both budding and experienced.
“Fashion is constantly changing and so there will be a preview of trends for the coming autumn/winter season. Aside from showing clothing from the leading brands, there will also be a focus on hair and beauty. I can’t wait to be part of Munster’s leading fashion event,” she added.
Crescent Shopping Centre manager, John Davitt, added his praise for the event.
“Inspire is a pleasure to host every year because of the tremendous buzz it brings to the centre. It is a truly unique event and it improves year after year. What better place to hold a fiesta of fashion than the Crescent Shopping Centre?”
“It’s a real shopping destination for locals and visitors alike. It opens seven days a week with select late-night opening and has over 90 exceptional shops and services. I believe we provide one of Ireland’s best retail experiences and Inspire showcases this perfectly,” he continued
