Ennis Town Rock B came out on top in the second of a weekend double header with Shannon Olympic B. Having won 1-0 on Friday, in the away fixture with Olympic, Ennis Town were more clinical on Sunday. With much of the possession it still took until the 35th minute for Ennis Town to open the scoring when Noel Frawley converted a penalty after Gary Green was fouled.

 

Ciaran MacMathuna made it two on the stroke of half time. MacMathuna scored his second and third in the 60th and 75th minutes before Cody Fitzgerald added a fifth in the 82nd minute. Ciarán MacMathuna scored his fourth of the game shortly before the end.

Ennis Town hadn’t it all their own way and Dara Murphy pulled off a couple of fine saves. Best for Ennis Town were Declan Ensko, Cody Fitgerald and Ciaran MacMathuna.

Sporting Ennistymon B 3   St Pat’s 1

Sporting Ennistymon B kept up their challenge for promotion when they proved too strong for St Pat’s on Sunday.

Goalscorers for the winners were Mike Leigh, James McConigley and Joe Gallagher for the North Clare side who were 3-0 in front at half time at Lisdoonvarna.

St Pat’s scored in the second half through David Talty after a David O’Dea cross.

The other two games in this division produced two all draws with West Clare and Tulla United B playing at Kilrush and  Connolly Celtic B having home advantage against Rineanna Rovers.
