Ennis shop tops for hygiene

RYAN’S Centra in Ennis has won the title of Best Convenience Store in Ireland for Hygiene and Food Safety at the National Q Mark Awards.

Kay and Paul Ryan’s Centra store had been nominated for awards in 2010 and 2011 and had had been tipped as hot favourite to take the national title this year and didn’t fail to deliver.

The award for best convenience store in Ireland is always one of the most difficult categories to win and Ryan’s Centra had to see off hundreds of other shops, stores and mini-marts in the previous rounds

Employing 38 staff, Ryan’s are very committed to supporting the local community and sponsor many local initiatives.

Kay Ryan said she was very proud of her team’s commitment to providing the very best quality and excellence to their customers. “Food safety is essential to the success of our business and receiving The National Q Mark Award is very important for our customers as it shows them how dedicated we are,” she said.
