CLARE rugby received another boost this week when Ennis player Lukas Kunz was named on the Irish U-19 schools panel to play Australia at the UCD campus on Friday, November 27.
A student at St Munchin’s College in Limerick, Lukas has been part of the Munster underage squads in recent years and got a trial for the U-18 Ireland squad last season.
A product of the very successful Ennis rugby underage section. Lukas plays in the centre for the club while, in recent trial games, he has been selected on the wing.
He is the first Ennis player to be called into an Irish squad since Aidan Considine was part of the Ireland U-19 team in 1998.
