All recipients are asked to attend this Friday at the West County Hotel at 6pm.

Keep Clare Clean

The Keep Clare Clean Awareness Project is commencing now at area level. The purpose of the project is to encourage children to use their creativity and imagination to highlight the need and importance of keeping their area and county free from all types of litter. The competition can take the form of a poem or a poster. The age categories are U-6, U-8, U-10, U-12 and U-14 on July 31 this year. There is also a special category included.

First and second prizewinners in each age group from each category in all areas will go forward for county adjudication.

The county final exhibition and presentations will take place at Ennis Town Council Offices, Waterpark House, Drumbiggle, Ennis, on Friday, December 7 at 8pm. Entries are to be forwarded to Cecilia O’Sullivan, Kevin Barry Ave, Ennis, by Friday November 9.

Area AGMs

All areas should now be making arrangements to hold their annual general meetings in preparation for the coming season, as all areas must be registered and have their insurance paid before children can participate.

Any area that would like either a member of the development or executive committee to attend their annual general meeting should contact the county secretary.

County AGM

The county AGM will be held on Tuesday, November 6 in the West County Hotel at 8pm. The closing date for receiving nominations and motions is October 12.

All areas are urged to have three delegates attend this meeting, as the input of all areas is important to the running of the games.
