Donovan’s return inspires the Mills to merited win

O’Callaghan’s Mills 2-12   Tubber 0-11

The return of Adrian Donovan from injury helped O’Callaghan’s Mills to this win over Tubber in Division 2A of the Clare Champion Cup on Monday evening at O’Callaghan’s Mills.
Playing at full-forward, O’Donovan scored a goal in each half. The winners led by a goal at half-time when the score was 1-5 to 0-5 and they went on to maintain the upper hand in the second half.

St Joseph’s 1-21   Smith O’Brien’s 3-13

In a high-scoring tie at Killaloe on Sunday, St Joseph’s came out with a narrow win against the home side.
Enda Lyons was the goal scorer for the winners who, while happy with the win, will be disappointed to have conceded three goals.
The Killaloe side’s goals came from Mark McInerney, John Cusack and Anthony O’Sullivan.
