Delay to Shannon-Birmingham flight

A SHANNON-Birmingham flight that had been due to take off at 7.40am this morning has been delayed due to Storm Eunice.

According to Shannon Group spokesperson Nandi O’Sullivan the flight will leave once the winds have eased. “We will continue to monitor the impact of Storm Eunice and advise intending passengers to check with their airline directly for the most up-to-date flight information.”

While there have been power outages in neighbouring counties this morning, there are none in Clare. At the moment 128 customers are without power in the Birdhill area, while 338 customers in Kilcolgan had no electricity for a period of time

Bank of Ireland branches in Clare and a number of other counties are to remain closed until 11am this morning.
