Cratloe GAA club to reflect on triumphant year

CRATLOE GAA were presented with the provincial club of the year award in Dungrvan recently when Munster GAA hosted their annual awards ceremony.Cooraclare native Enda McGuane, the Council’s Deputy DEO, making the presentation to Cratloe chairman Pat O‘Gorman. Also included are Cratloe secretary Siobhán O’Gorman (left), John Mullins, Bord gCais and Cratloe treasurer, Mary Considine (right).THE West County Hotel will be the venue on Wednesday, December 30 for a gala presentation night for Cratloe GAA.
It’s been a historic year for the South Clare club in which they won the Clare senior hurling and Clare U-21A football titles for the first time in their history. They also won the Clare intermediate football title and went on to contest the Munster final.
Their many successes resulted in the club being recently presented with the provincial club-of-the-year award by the GAA Munster Council at a function in Dungarvan.
At the upcoming function, all of the awards won by the club during 2009 will be on display while the members of the various panels will be presented with their championship medals.
