Conway hits the winner for Celtic

BRIDGE Celtic came out on top by 2-1 in this league tie played at Bridgetown on Sunday.

 

Avenue took the lead through Shane Browne after 15 minutes but the home side hit back and Trevor Howard equalised. The sides were level at 1-1 at half-time.
The winning goal came 10 minutes from the end from Alan Conway.

BUNRATTY/Cratloe A scored an easy win over Manus Celtic A on Sunday. Two goals in the opening five minutes put the home side in the driving seat and by half-time, they were 5-0 ahead.
Scorers on the day were Diarmuid Nash and Ally McMillan (2) and Paul Butler, Michael Hayes, Sean Hynan, Páraig Chaplin and Ogie Murphy.

JOHN Pyne returned as manager of Turnpike Rovers on Sunday and led the side to an important win over Kilrush Rangers.
The West Clare outfit took the lead with just over half an hour played when Rory O’Connor scored. They had the better of the first-half exchanges but failed to add to their tally.
On the hour mark, Brendan Dobbins had the equaliser for the Pike and, just under 10 minutes later, he hit the winner.
