Concert to be recorded by RTÉ

A COMMEMORATIVE concert, in memory of well-known musician, Tom Carey will be recorded in Cree this weekend by Peter Browne from the RTÉ Radio 1. He will record the concert on Saturday night and it will be broadcast on the Rolling Wave at 10pm on Sunday night at a later date.
The highlight of the weekend will be a special concert on Saturday, with friends of Tom’s, which will be held in Cree hall at 7.30pm and this will be followed by sessions in both pubs. Joan Hanrahan will be the MC at the concert and some of the acts will include Sharon and Ray O’Leary, Josephine Marsh, Therese McInerney, Jack Talty, Jacqueline Mac Carthy, Orla Harrington, Katie O’Sullivan, Gerald Haugh, James O’Halloran, Murt Collins, John Joe Tuttle, Joe Lineen and Joe Searson. All proceeds from the event will go to West Clare Cancer Fund.
Events will be held in Cree from Friday to Sunday.
