Coffee morning for Crusaders

THE importance of The Clare Champion to the people of the Banner County is embodied in the celebration of Local Newspaper Week. National TV and radio channels have given special focus to the regional press all week.
In this week’s edition of the Champion, there is a special 16-page supplement dedicated to local newspapers, which includes some very interesting statistics about readership trends and circulation. The 51 newspapers involved in Local Newspaper Week have a combined weekly circulation of over 450,000 copies and a readership of around 1.4 million.
Clare Champion managing director, John Galvin said he is delighted to support the initiative, which showcases regional newspapers’ special connection with their readers.
There have been countrywide charity events to mark the week and the Champion is hosting a coffee morning this Friday at 10am in the Old Ground Hotel, Ennis, with the proceeds going to Clare Crusaders.
