Clooney-Quin GAA club celebrated a successful year when members gathered at the Clare Inn hotel on Friday night last.
The winning of the senior B camogie, junior A men’s football and the county hurling seven-a-side titles were highlighted as members of the panels received their medals.
Clare GAA chairman Michael O’Neill paid tribute to the club on the progress made in recent years and he congratulated the winning sides.
Other guests on the night were Orla Considine, chairperson of Clare camogie; Darren Hickey from the Clare and Munster club football champions, Kilmurry-Ibrickane and Enda Barrett from Newmarket, a member of Clare’s All-Ireland winning U-21 hurling team.
Darren presented the junior football medals to the winners while Enda presented the camogie medals.
The club made special presentations to Cillian Duggan, a member of Clare’s Munster and All-Ireland U-21 winning hurling panel and to Deirdre Murphy, a member of the All-Ireland winning ladies football team.
Club chairman Pat O’Brien welcomed all and went onto pay tribute to the various clubs for the manner in which the work together.
