Clare titles for Power and Lynch

The Clare Athletics Association junior, novice B and juvenile cross country relays were held in ideal weather conditions on the lands of Patrick O’Dea, Clonlohan Newmarket-on-Fergus on Monday some top class performances.

The Clare Athletics Association junior, novice B and juvenile cross country relays were held in ideal weather conditions on the lands of Patrick O’Dea, Clonlohan Newmarket-on-Fergus on Monday some top class performances.
In the juvenile relays with Kilmurry Ibrickane/North Clare were the star performers finishing first in the U-10 and U-12 girls and U-14 boys. They also won silver medals in the U-10 boys, U-12 boys and U-14 girls and bronze in the U-8 girls.
St Cronan’s had big wins in the 4x250m U-8, U-10 boys, they were second in the U-8, U-12 girls and third in U-14 girls.
Ennis Track won the boys U-12 4x500m relay and won silver in the U-8 and U-14 boys and bronze in the U-14 boys 4x500m.
Marian AC won the girls U-8 4x250m relays and bronze in the girls U-10 and U-12. St John’s won the girls U-14 4x500m while host club Shannon AC won bronze in the boys U-12 and U-14. St Mary’s took bronze in the boys U-8 and Kilmihil took silver medals in the girls U-10 4x250m.
Laura Power, Ennis Track, was a very impressive winner of the junior ladies 3000m with Nollaig Blake, St John’s, taking the silver medal. The bronze medal went to Ciara Mulcaire, Ennis Track. Ennis Track took the team title.
Darragh Lynch, Ennis Track, won the junior men’s title from Conor Madigan, St John’s, and Stephan Rooney, Ennis Track, with Ennis Track taking the team title.
The novice B title went to Conor Madigan, St John’s, second went to Stephan Rooney, Ennis Track, followed by Michael Kelly, Kilmurry Ibrickane/North Clare. Ennis Track won the club title 32pts from Kilmurry Ibrickane/North Clare on 38pts.
