Changes at the top in Kildysart GAA Club

There was a large attendance at the annual general meeting of Kildysart GAA Club, which was held in the community centre on Friday night.
Detailed and positive reports were presented by chairman John Meade, secretary Cyril Kelly and treasurer Stephen Reynolds.
The outgoing chairman, who did not seek re-election, recalled the events held throughout the year to mark the club’s 125th anniversary and he also recalled the great support for the Cian Cleary Benefit Fund at special matches held last May.
Secretary Kelly reported on the various games played by club teams in championship and league during the year and he congratulated the schools on their successes as well as praising all involved with the successful Kildysart-Coolmeen amalgamation teams.
Treasurer Stephen Reynolds told members that while the club is currently in a sound financial position, lotto sales and other fundraising efforts must be maintained at a high level to meet the costs of running the club.
Both the chairman and treasurer stepped down and they were replaced by Martin Frawley, a former secretary, and Trish Donnellan, respectively.
The members of the executive for 2012 are: patron, Fr Colm Hogan PP; president, James Cleary; vice-presidents, Micko Moloney, Paddy Moloney, Noel McMahon; chairman, Martin Frawley; vice-chairman, Seamus McQuaid; secretary, Cyril Kelly; assistant secretary, Flan Guinnane; treasurer, Trish ­Donnellan; assistant treasurer, Noel O’Grady; PRO, JT Cavanagh; Bord na nÓg representative, Niall Guinnane; Irish officer, Tom Kelly; county board delegates, Paddy Moloney, JT Cavanagh, John Meade; field development officers, Tom Kelly, Noel McMahon, Tommy Clancy.
The intermediate management team will be ratified in the coming weeks.
