Champions to face Cratloe again

FOR the second year in succession, senior football champions Kilmurry-Ibrickane will begin the defence of their title by facing Cratloe.

The 2013 draws for the Senior and Intermediate Football Championships were made at the May meeting of Clare GAA on Thursday.
There will also be another first round repeat from last season as Lissycasey and Doonbeg clash again in the opening round. First round games are scheduled for the August Bank Holiday Weekend.

The pairings are: Liscannor v St Joseph’s Doora-Barefield, St Breckans v Ennistymon, Lissycasey v Doonbeg, Shannon Gaels v O’Curry’s, Kilrush v Cooraclare, Kilmurry-Ibrickane v Cratloe, Wolfe Tones v St Senan’s Kilkee, Clondegad v Éire Óg.

The intermediate championship will again be on a league format with two groups of four.
Group 1: O’Callaghan’s Mills, Corofin, Kilmihil, Kilfenora.
Group 2: Kildysart, Miltown, Kilmurry-Ibrickane, Clarecastle.
The first round pairings are: O’Callaghans Mills v Corofin, Kilmihil v Kilfenora, Kildysart v Miltown, Kilmurry-Ibrickane v Clarecastle.
