The Clare Champion has leant its support to the performing arts by sponsoring the printing of 100,000 tickets by Glór music centre and the newly printed tickets were launched at an event this week.
Speaking about the collaboration, Angela Connaughton sponsorship manager with Glór said, “we print approximately 100,000 tickets every two years or so. This is a specialised and expensive printing job and we always try to secure sponsorship for it. This reduces the cost for Glór and provides the benefit of advertising to the sponsor.”
Previous sponsors have included The Old Ground Hotel and ClareFM, and Angela added that Glór is “delighted that this year John Galvin of The Clare Champion, who has always been a great supporter of Glór, has sponsored this venture and produced a very attractive and relevant advert which will appear on the back of the tickets”.
“This type of sponsorship and that of all our corporate members contributes hugely to Glór’s day-to-day activities. It is great to have the support of The Clare Champion and other local businesses and we really appreciate it,” she concluded.
“I’m delighted to be involved with Glór in such a positive way. We would always be great supporters of the arts and particularly Irish music,” said Mr John Galvin managing director of The Clare Champion.
Speaking about the new tickets and the sponsorship arrangement, Mr Galvin said, “They showcase the great photography we have in The Clare Champion where we have two of the best photographers in the county. It is also nice to give the patrons something to look at while they are waiting for the show to start. The design was created by Judy Prendergast one of our full-time graphic design staff.”
