Chamber orchestra evening

AS PART of its summer tour programme, the Irish Chamber Orchestra, recently returned from a Chinese tour, will come to Kilkee this month.
Accordion and violin duo Dermot Dunne and Katherine Hunka team up with the orchestra for some summer evenings of popular classics. Their programme features baroque classics from Vivaldi, as well as some Mozart  magic and pieces from Piazzolla.
Katherine Hunka is leader of the Irish Chamber Orchestra since 2002.  She has worked with many orchestras throughout Ireland and the UK and is a member of the celebrated Academy of St Martin in the Fields. Dermot Dunne has come along way since winning the RTÉ Musician of the Future competition in 1996.  He appears regularly as a soloist at venues and festivals nationwide and has toured across Europe performing baroque to modern, Bulgarian folk to Argentine tangos.
The orchestra will play in St Senan’s Church, Kilkee on July 21 at 8pm.
