Cyclists urged to take up Maracycle Challenge

Cyclists from Clare are being encouraged to take part in this year’s Co-operation Ireland Maracycle, which is returning after an absence of 12 years. If you are a keen cyclist or want to take up a challenge, then this event could be suitable for you. This event will take place over the weekend of June 26-27 and the return route between Belfast and Dublin will cover just over 200 miles.

Shannon and Power take honours at Carron

CLARE Sports Partnership and Clare Athletics Association held race number four in their fun run series in Carron with over 70 competitors participating in the 5km event. With the first (1k) all down hill the leaders went through this point in 3mins.05secs and Eimear Power (Sportsworld) was leading this big field with Michael Shannon (Kilnaboy), Damian Roche (Kilmurry-Ibrickane/North Clare), and Eugene Moynihan (Marian) all in close pursuit.

O’Connor passes the 600 milestone at Dromahane
