A NEW traffic plan will be implemented in Scariff from next Tuesday and motorists are being advised to be mindful of the changes, which will see a one-way system introduced on Main Street and Jones’ Road. Motorists will now only be able to travel one way in a northbound direction on Main Street from Scariff Bridge to the Market House and one way in a southbound direction on Jones’ Road from the green to the ambulance station. Other roads are to remain the same. The traffic management plan is to facilitate additional car parking in the town, at the Main Street and the town square. Senior executive engineer for the Killaloe Electoral Area, Hugh McGrath said, weather permitting, it is expected to unveil signage and lay new road markings next Tuesday and begin the plan that afternoon.
