A pest control company has increased measures to combat a rat infestation at Lahinch beach following complaints about a hike in the number of rodents near the old promenade area.

Kilfenora’s well-documented sewerage problems, created by the shortcomings in the county council’s wastewater treatment plant, may be coming to an end following the most recent intervention of Environment Minister Phil Hogan.

Re-development work on Corofin Hall is expected to commence in mid-August following the signing of the building contract. The €600,000 revamp follows years of planning and preparation by CHAF Ltd.
