PADDENS O’Loughlin has been a member of the Ennis and District Anglers for over 60 years and was recently presented with a watch by the club for his long-standing membership and for all the assistance he has given anglers during that time. He was also recently re-elected as a club trustee at their annual general meeting and was surprised with a special presentation of a watch honouring his many years of service to the club.Paddens, now 89, is originally from Old Mill Street, Ennis, but lives on the Golf Links Road. He worked for the ESB and was also employed on the West Clare railway train. He was among the Ennis Dals team that won the Clare County Championship in 1941.
