The annual U-14 Inter-County Camogie Blitz, promoted by Clare, was a huge success on Bank Holiday Monday,
Teams from Clare, Limerick, Cork, Tipperary, Galway, Kilkenny, Dublin and Offaly assembled at St Flannan’s College for the event.
There were three divisions and the 15-a-side competition involved 28 games with 500 girls taking part.
Cork and Galway contested the A final, with Cork emerging as winners. Clare and Cork met in the B final and here the hosts emerged as winners. They had earlier topped their group.
The C final was between Cork and Galway and Galway came out on top in this one.
The competition got underway at 10.30am and concluded four hours later. The games were over 10 minute halves and there were six pitches in operation.
