Cakewalk as Cratloe win U-12B honours

U-12 B HURLING FINAL

Cratloe 7-14
Tulla 0-1

Cratloe showed no mercy at Cusack Park on Sunday evening to claim the B title in the most comprehensive manner imaginable.

Austin McInerney of Tulla takes on Aaron Costigan. One couldn’t but have sympathy for Tulla, who were clearly out of their depth and the object of their exercise quickly turned into one of damage limitation as Cratloe’s superior strength and stickwork had them in total control.
Indeed, Cratloe had all but the title in the bag by the break when they led 3-7 to 0-1.
Full-forward Billy Connors was a thorn in the side of the Tulla defence and helped himself to 2-2 in that period. However, the most eye-catching display came from Evan Gaule, who struck for six excellently taken points.
Tulla’s only response was a point from Ronan Molloy.
The second half was all one-way traffic and again it was in the direction of the Tulla goal, where custodian Cillian Dunworth was overworked but gave a very accomplished performance.
Kyle Nylon bagged a brace of goals, with Diarmuid Ryan and Jack McInerney getting one each. For good measure, McInerney also notched four points with Billy Connors, Michael Danagher and Ciaran O’Connor the others to register points.
