The objective is to highlight examples of business excellence and to acknowledge the talent, dynamism and innovation to be found across the county.
The FBD Clare Business Excellence Awards provide an opportunity for the local business community to promote themselves by entering one or more or the award categories.
“At a time when many businesses are trying to survive, it is important to focus on the positive stories of what businesses are doing to succeed,” Ennis Chamber president John Dillane commented.
“The awards give local businesses an opportunity to showcase their strengths and successes, as well as promoting Clare as an attractive place for investment and to do business. The awards benchmark the industrial, retail and service base in the county to a standard of excellence,” he added.
The launch, in the Cloister Bar and Restaurant, was attended by the awards sponsor FBD as well as the sponsors of the categories along with media sponsors, The Clare Champion. The closing date is June 29 for receipt of entry forms, which are available from Ennis Chamber.
Most businesses will find at least two categories in which to showcase their company. Businesses can benefit by entering as a way to recognise their success but also to set the company as a benchmark for excellence, for promotion and to acquire a promotional video of the company for all finalists.
Speaking after the launch, Ennis Chamber CEO Rita McInerney paid tribute to FBD and to the category sponsors, Ulster Bank, Retail Excellence Ireland, AIB, Clare County Council, Ennis Town Council, Clare County Enterprise Board, Value Centre/BWG Foodservice, Energia, Microsemi and Shannon Development for their commitment to rewarding excellence in the business community.
“Ennis Chamber is delighted with the continued support received from local agencies and business alike as well as national brands in recognising the hard work undertaken by businesses to ensure their development and growth,” Ms McInerney added.
