Heavy overnight rain on Saturday night played havoc with the Clare Soccer schedule last weekend with a lot of games cancelled due to pitch conditions.

However, the big game of the day did go ahead on Sunday when Avenue Utd’s youths booked their place in the next round of the Munster Youths Cup with a well-merited 2-0 win over Kerry League outfit, Tralee Dynamos at the Lees Road.

Gary Roche gave the Ennis side the lead just before the break and they sealed victory with a Ronan O’Donnell goal shortly before the final whistle. Avenue will not travel to play Killarney Celtic in the next round.
