ONE of Ireland’s most celebrated comedians Brendan Grace, will be at the Auburn Lodge Hotel, on December 27.
He will present an evening of nostalgia including some all-time favourites such as the father of the bride, the Chinese takeaway, Bottler and Dan Dooley’s Donkey, among other amusing pieces.
A brilliant character actor, his sense of timing and ability to read an audience is without equal.
Besides his obvious star quality, his drawing power has been enormous and he has an excellent bond with Irish audience, partly because of his generosity with his time after each show.
The meet-and-greet is now very much part and parcel of his shows and his down-to-earth approach has helped his popularity.
In more recent years, he has managed to win a younger audience, mainly because the content of his show is family friendly and also because of his appearance on Father Ted, where he played the part of a hard-drinking, smoking, troublemaker extraordinaire Father Fintan Stack.
