Arts funding deadline approaching

THE Arts Council is making 11 bursary awards available, with a closing date for applications of January 21. Deis is a relatively new scheme that has been established under the Arts Council’s Traditional Arts Initiative. It is aimed at encouraging and facilitating the traditional arts community to seek funding from the Arts Council for a range of projects. A total of €50,000 is available under this scheme.
There is also funding available through a travel and training award, a visual artists in prison scheme, a writers in prison scheme, a writers in school scheme, an architecture bursary award, an arts participation bursary award, a dance bursary award, a film bursary award, a literature bursary award, a music bursary award, a theatre bursary award, a traditional arts bursary award, a visual arts bursary award and a young People, children and education bursary award.
