All set for Hugh Kelly Memorial tournament


The inaugural Hugh Kelly Memorial tournament will commence next week when Rhine Rovers will play Bridge United at the County Grounds.
This game will be played on Tuesday next, August 16, with the winners going on to play Shannon Olympic on the following Saturday at the same venue in the first of the semi-finals. On Wednesday evening next Coole FC will play Avenue United and the winners of this tie will play Newmarket Celtic on August 21.
The final is set for Sixmilebridge on August 27

New season
The new season will kick off on August 31 with a full round of matches in the Premier, First, Second and Third Division League cups.
Draws
Premier Division Group A
Avenue Utd A, Burren Utd, Rineanna Rovers, Ennis Town Rock and Hermitage A.
Premier Division Group B
Mountshannon Celtic, Lifford A, Newmarket Celtic A, Shannon Olympic A and Tulla Utd A.
The FAI have agreed to sponsor 25 match tickets for the winners to attend an international match at the Aviva Stadium.
First Division Group A
Connolly Celtic, Rhine Rovers, Manus Celtic A, Kilrush Rangers and Turnpike Rovers.
First Division Group B
Bridge Celtic, Bridge Utd A, Bunratty Cratloe FC A, Avenue Utd B and Corofin Harps.
Second Division Group A
Ruan Utd, Moher Celtic, Sporting Ennistymon, Coole FC, Hermitage B.
Second Division Group B
Manus Celtic B, Inch Crusaders, Newmarket Celtic B, Bridge Utd B, Kildysart Celtic.
Third Division Group A
Bunratty Cratloe FC B, Treaty Celtic, Kilkishen Celtic, Shannon Olympic B and Tulla Utd B.
Third Division Group B
Cooraclare Celtic, Hermitage C, St Pats, West Clare Utd, Kilmaley Fern Celtic, Lifford B.
Should two teams finish level on points, group placings will be decided by goal difference. If goal difference is the same, placings will be decided by goals scored. If goals scored are the same, disciplinary record will be taken into account.

Schoolchildren’s leagues resume

After a two-week break, the Clare schoolboys leagues resume this weekend.
This Saturday, there will be action in the U-13 and U-15 leagues. In the U-13 competition, Newmarket and Connolly will have home advantage against Moher and Coole FC in Group 1 while in Division 2 Ennis Town, Sporting Ennistymon and Burren United will enjoy home advantage against Moneypoint, Fern Celtic and St Pat’s.
On Monday, the U-12 and U-14 girls’ leagues will dominate. At U-15 level, Ennis Town and Moher Celtic will entertain Avenue United and Moneypoint respectively in Division 1 while in Division 2 Mountshannon Celtic will have Coole FC as visitors.
On Monday the girls’ U-12 and U-14 leagues will resume.
