A little bit of Hollywood comes to Ennis


THE multi-award winning Limerick Musical Society, who celebrate their 10th anniversary this year, are taking to the road with their production of Hollywood Hits on Tour, which has played to packed houses.
First stop along the way is Glór in Ennis this Saturday night for one performance only and will finish in the University Concert Hall in Limerick on Friday, October 8.
Hollywood Hits on Tour will include musical numbers from Guys ‘n Dolls, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, South Pacific, Kiss Me Kate and many more. Choreography is by national award winner, Niamh Twomey; direction is in the capable hands of supremo Richie Ryan, with musical direction by the award winning Maire Keary-Scanlon.
Limerick Musical Society is to the forefront in bringing high quality musicals to local audiences The tour affords audiences in this area to enjoy talented performers as they sing, dance and entertain with some of the most popular musical numbers from Hollywood’s greatest musicals.
Limerick Musical Society represented Limerick at the Waterford International Festival of Light Opera with their production of Barry Manilow’s Copacabana in 2002. The society has also accumulated numerous national awards for previous productions from AIMS (The Association of Irish Musical Societies).
