A powerful second quarter proved decisive in this tie and the East Clare side now go on to play Youghal in the semi-final. The North Tipperary school made the better start and they led 0-3 to 0-0 after seven minutes. Two minutes later the winners opened their account and from here to the half time whistle they enjoyed the upperhand.
