A beautiful day for Truagh-Clonlara
Truagh Clonlara 5-3 Kilkishen 4-3 The U-14A championship final at Feakle was played in beautiful conditions and produced a good standard. Kilkishen had the opening scoring opportunities but were wide of the mark on both occasions but they made up for those early misses when Áine Lynch goaled in the fifth minute. A fine save from Kilkishen goalie Orla McInerney a minute later was followed by a goal from Truagh-Clonlara’s Áine Gully that levelled the game.

THE Munster juvenile U-9, U-10, U-11 2 x 2 team events plus boys’ and girls’ U-12 and U-13 track and field championships wereheld over two days in sweltering heat at Lees Road. Clare athletes came away with eight gold, five silver and ten bronze medals.

Scariff Ogonnelloe 2-13 Killanena 0-2 This U-14B final was played in Bodyke in very hot conditions on Saturday afternoon. Scariff-Ogonnelloe started well when the first attack of the game, a shot by Aoife Power came off the crossbar, but the rebound was gathered quickly, and sent over the bar.
