COMMENT For more years than I care to remember, the Dáil bar was my “local”. I am not boasting when I say that I probably drank more in the Dáil bar over the course of three decades than I drank in all other establishments combined. This is not a boast; just stating a fact of life.

THERE will be a big emphasis on family occasion at Corofin on Saturday when the village plays hosts to the popular North Clare Show.

THE success of the installation of digital speed signs on the Tulla Road has led to an expansion of the project, with new signs now in place on the Cusack Road. Residents in the area are said to be “delighted” with the new signs. According to Councillor Mary Howard,

LEGISLATION is needed to ensure “illegal encampments” can be properly dealt with and that those dwelling in them cannot stop other people enjoying public amenities, according to North Clare County Councillors.
