There was also a large number of the school’s current pupils in attendance, with some of them involved in the musical entertainment on the night.

Those attending were treated to a display of photographs capturing the school’s history from its first class right up to more recent highlights.

Síle Ní Dheargáin, Múinteoir i bhFeidhil, explained, “It was a lovely night, a really great opportunity for everybody to get together and celebrate the anniversary. There is so much ability in the school and it is fantastic to be able to celebrate 20 years of the Gaelcholáiste. Also, it’s great to be able to show how great the school is and how hard the teachers and the students work.”

Gaelcholáiste an Chláir was founded in 1993 under the auspices of County Clare VEC. Nearly 150 pupils are now enroled in the Aonad Lán Gaeilge attached to Ennis Community College.
