Investigation into fatal North Clare accident


THE Health and Safety Authority (HSA) have begun an investigation into a work place accident in which 38-year-old TJ McDonagh died in Liscannor on Wednesday evening.

Gardai said that at around 7.30pm at Kilconnell, Liscannor, a 38 year old man was found unconscious in a shed. He was brought to University Hospital Galway and subsequently pronounced dead.

Mr McDonagh will repose at St Brigid’s Church in Liscannor on Friday evening, while funeral mass will be on Saturday at 11am, followed by burial in the Holy Rosary Cemetery in Doolin.

As a mark of respect M & M Auto Repairs Ennistymon will remain closed until Monday, August 25.
